This beloved event celebrates the traditions of the original Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany, as Ober Gatlinburg comes alive with German food, music, and fun! What to Expect
Ober Gatlinburg’s Oktoberfest celebration is a wonderful festival of German traditions, highlighted by delicious food, a Bavarian Oompah band and of course an outdoor Bier Garten! The food features cuisine from traditional Bavarian festivals, including such favorites as bratwurst, schnitzel, strudel, pretzels, and sauerkraut. Throughout the festival, the Seasons of Ober Restaurant will be offering these delicious German favorites on their special Oktoberfest menu. The outdoor Bier Garten provides beer sampling for attendees who are 21 and over, featuring different breweries on each weekend. Other fun activities include performances from the Bavarian Fun Makers Oompah Band, outdoor games and free face painting on Saturdays for kids!
Dates and Times
Oktoberfest at Ober Gatlinburg kicks off on Friday, September 22, 2017, and runs daily until Sunday, October 29, 2017 for over a month of activities and fun! The Bier Garten will be open on Saturdays from Noon until 7 PM, and from Noon until 6 PM on all other days. The Bavarian Funmakers Oompah Band will be performing in the Seasons of Ober Gatlinburg Restaurant on Mondays, Wednesday, and Thursdays at 1 PM and 5 PM, Tuesdays at 1 PM, 3 PM and 5 PM, and Fridays through Sundays at 1 PM, 3 PM, 5 PM and 7 PM. We recommend that you show up at least 30 minutes early to be seated for each performance.
Location and Parking Information
Ober Gatlinburg is situated at 1339 Ski Mountain Road, which is just 3 miles from Traffic Light #10 in downtown Gatlinburg. There is plenty of parking available for just $5.00 per vehicle. As an alternative, you can ride the Aerial Tramway to Ober Gatlinburg to enjoy tremendous views of the Great Smoky Mountains! The tramway is located at 1001 Parkway in downtown Gatlinburg at Parkway and LeConte Street, where parking is also available for $5.00 per vehicle.
