1. Thrilling Ride Action
Ripley’s Mountain Coaster offers a thrilling ride as you operate a gravity propelled cart down the slope! Since you use a brake lever system to control the speed of your journey, you can enjoy everything from a leisurely ride to a full throttle adventure! You’ll start with a slow tow climb to the top of the mountain, so take this time to enjoy the beautiful scenery before you zoom back to the loading area! You’ll be happy to know that the admission price includes two rides on the coaster, but you can also upgrade to a third ride for just a nominal fee!
2. Convenient Location and Hours
You never have to travel too far to experience Ripley’s Mountain Coaster, as it is conveniently located right along the Parkway just north of downtown Gatlinburg! If you have purchased your tickets in advance, you just need to check in at the ticket booth and sign a waiver before riding. The ride is open from 10 AM to 9 PM Sundays through Thursdays, and from 10 AM to 10 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. We recommend riding once during the daylight hours, and then coming back for an entirely different experience at night!

The coaster carts can accommodate up to two riders, so kids can ride along with adults as long as they are at least 3 years of age or older and a minimum of 38 inches tall! Your kids will have a blast sitting in front of you as you pilot the cart through all of the exciting dips, twists and turns! If you have kids ages 3 to 9 who want to ride alone, their admission tickets are available for a reduced price!
