From April 24 to April 28, everyone—from the serious, local botanist to the happy go lucky tourist—can experience the grace and wonder of a Gatlinburg Spring. Starting in 1951, the annual Wildflower Pilgrimage has become one of the most famous events in Gatlinburg history, drawing thousands of tourists each year—and for good reason too! Nowhere is the effect of the spring time months so apparent, so unspeakably beautiful as it is in this quaint tourist hamlet in the mountains of Tennessee.
And, with over 150 programs, you will have every chance to experience this beauty first hand. With guided hiking tours, demonstrations, guest lecturers, and more, all dedicated to showcasing the abundant varieties of wildflowers, ferns, plants, mosses, birds, amphibians, and reptiles, visitors can see all that springtime in Gatlinburg can offer in the most intimate way possible!
